Australia captain Michael Clarke: Durham is a 'wonderful place' to play cricket

Australia captain Michael Clarke feels that Durham is a "wonderful place" to play cricket ahead of the 4th Investec Ashes Test.

The Baggy Greens will play a Test match at the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground for the first time, after previously playing in two One Day internationals at the ground.

Clarke revealed that former Durham batsman Michael Di Venuto has lauded the venue and is looking forward to play getting underway on Friday.

He said: "It's always nice to be here. Durham is a wonderful place to come and play cricket.

"I've been lucky enough some One Day cricket here, we've got Michael Di Venuto as our batting coach, so he's spent a lot of time here as well and he's been very complimentary of the place.

"I think the boys have had a good time so far,  a nice warm day yesterday and it's still pretty muggy out there today and I'm looking forward to the Test match."
