Three year wait worth it for globetrotting Ashes fan

Pictured at Melbourne - not Durham ! - is dedicated England fan David Charlton who has had his Ashes ticket for the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground for three years.
David, aged 45, from Blyth, Northumberland, can't wait to see his first Ashes test in his home North East having travelled the world watching Test cricket.
He's been to all the grounds in England since he saw his first Test at Headingly at the age of eight and he's been to Barbados twice, Galle in Sri Lanka, Durban and Centurion in South Africa and Perth and Melbourne in Australia with Blyth cricket buddy Keith Willey.
Our picture was taken on Boxing Day 2006 - the fourth Test in the series which England had already lost earlier in Perth.
"It's a massive achievement by everyone to get a test match here, the weather looks set fair, the ground will be full and if Graham Onions plays it will be perfect. I can't wait for a big England victory and Ashes win."
On his travels, David has met many players from England and the opposition teams but has two burning ambitions he hopes to fulfil - to meet Beefy and Bumble - Ian Botham and David Lloyd.
